Why would I stop unless I was pissing some one off. "Posting lies". I like that, I might use that when I'm talking about the Bible sometime. I guess we just disagree? I mean, you have a book and I have... logic. That is pretty even, I'd say.

Just kiddin'.

*~!~Sandman~!~*
Tuesday, August 08, 2006

Today, we'll focus on a few contradictions in the Bible. Some new, simple ones.

First we have, in the book of John 3:13 states, "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven." Now, and please, some one correct my if I'm wrong, but am I to assume that no one goes to heaven but who has come down from heaven? That is what it says, after all. Well, that of course directly contradicts something simple like, say 2 Kings 2:11, "... and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." Now I'm confused. Could some one maybe clear that up with out bullshitting me with Christ love and whatnot? You know the price if you do.

Let's see... another one. Oh, here we go. This one I like. It involves a commandment. Which one? Number Five. Exodus 20:12, "Honor your father and your mother." Now, who better to contradict such a commandment like Mr. Holy himself, Jesus. Let us now look at Luke 14:26. "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters-- yes, even his own life-- he cannot be my disciple."

Hate all of your family? That goes far past this whole "honor your father and mother" shit, doesn't it? I mean, this is hating your entire LIFE. What, was this like a group for old school emo kids? Either way, that is a clear contradiction.

In other news, we here at EA have decided to try and update on a regular basis. However, this is subject to change at any given date. We will also be accepting topics to write on, as subjects aren't always at hand to write about.
Subjects to come include:
-Weekly contradictions
-Brutality in the Old Testament
-General hypocrisy
-Political views
-Exploring other religions (and tearing them apart accordingly)
-Anything our readers want.
I'm aware of about 10 people who read this, however, with due advertising, I think we can make this a notable blog that many people will enjoy reading.

Comments appreciated if not returned.

Sincerely,
The Sandman
Friday, April 14, 2006

No one reads this, I'm sure, but, I will post anyway.

Evangelism (n.)

Zealous preaching and dissemination of the gospel, as through missionary work.
Militant zeal for a cause.

Nowhere does it say that we, as Evangelical Atheists, have to "convert" anyone. This is a forum to simply express our thoughts and points of view.

In light of recent events that have occured at the University Park
Mall, both I and an unnamed party have been banned for one year from
the premises, starting on March 4th, 2006, and ending March 4th, 2007.
Even though I was not the aggressor, I am still banned.
Does this make any sense to you?

Of course not. Its idiotic, wrong, and most of all, lazy.

Yeah, thats right, lazy.
The company that owns the UP Mall area and the Best Buy area, Simon, is lazy. Why?
They obviously do not have the balls, nor the energy and responsibility, to look into a simple, minor, bullshit little feud.
So they just ban everybody involved.

So, say, you're walking through the mall and a gangster shoots you.
BAM BAM BAM!
..You wake up from a coma, induced by the shooting, and some mall cop is waving papers that you gotta sign.
What are the first words outta that fuck's mouth?
"You're banned from the mall!

All because you decided to go to the mall, try to have a good day, and
encounter somebody that is dumb enough to resort to violence, because
they lack the brains to win any civilized argument.

Hot damn, now that ain't right.

(Yeah, I know its not based on a religious event, but fuck you.)
(And no, I didn't get shot. I don't even have any bruises.)

Christians can't do the same because they will be sent to Heaven afterward.

*~!~sandman~!~*

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

"The Unobtainable Selfless Act" by The Sandman

selfless--having, exhibiting, or motivated by no concern for oneself; unselfish.

Here is my theory: "There is no such thing as a selfless act, as everything you do results in some sort of pleasure or content, however minute it may be."

If you really think about it, everything you do is for yourself. If I only have one candybar left, and my friend is hungry, and I give it to him, that is not a selfless act. Selfless as it may seem, it actually causes you a degree of pleasure in seeing your friend content. Giving to the poor, picking up trash, buying dinner for friends, giving rides home, etc., are all things that make you feel better about yourself in one way or another.

Even when being punished, you serve the punishment in lieu of a worse punishment, thus, you suffer less. Hardly selfless.

Now, it gets complicated in some scenarios. Feel free to think of them on your own, but, I've yet to poke a hole in this theory.

The life and death issue is the only real selfless act, but, then again, it isn't. Rarely are we put in situations where we have to choose between our own lives and the lives of others, however, if we were, our mindsets would be much different and far less logical. The primal instincts of survival would kick in.

That's all for now.

*~!~Sandman~!~*

Friday, February 03, 2006

WHAT IS LAVEYAN SATANISM?

Well, I'm gonna start by telling you that I am, in fact, a LaVeyan
Satanist. (Which will be referred to as Satanism from here on in.)
Before you stand up, grab your cross, and head for my house to beat me with it, stop and listen.
Satanism and Atheism are very alike.

Here are the main points of Satanism:
So-called 'sins' almost always leads to indulgence.
Controlled selfishness is the key to survival.
Man is another animal, who is sometimes better, but moreoften worse than his more beastly counterparts.
Survival of the fittest. (This does not necessarily mean physically,
seeing as those with gifted mentalities will obviously find a way to
use the more endowed to assist.)
Manipulation is a very good skill to possess.
Pride is essential.
LOGIC.
INDIVIDUALITY IS NUMBER ONE.

Now, why the name Satanism, you ask?

Well, you see, Satan, by its true definition, means opposer or
adversary. In most monothestic religions, there is an adversary, who
represents all the bad shit, or evil, or whatever you want to call it.
In a lot of these religions, Satan is the forbidden, the things that are good but supposedly have a catch.
Take gluttony, for instance. Eating too much. Greed.
When you eat too much, you get fat.
But, you aren't supposed to have pride either..Which means having pride in your body won't help you.
Because if you did have pride in your body, you would stay in shape and be strong.
All the sins must be taken as a whole and used properly to achieve a good life.

So, Atheism and Satanism are essentially, synonyms.

On to the topic of 'controlled selfishness.' This is an interesting
part, because people always say "being selfish is bad! you selfish
sonofabitch!"
But, think about it. When you compliment someone and make them happy, does it make you feel better?
Will it benefit you?
OF COURSE!
Therefore, deep down in your subconscious mind, you do it to make you feel better. And it does.
Satanists realize this, and say "Hey, you know what? I can make myself feel better by making other people feel better."
But if it gets to the point where you're constantly ruining your own
life for other people, then, fuck it. It should never even get CLOSE to
that point.
This also goes the other way. One must realize that, if you are to
succeed, you can't constantly do EVERYTHING to benefit yourself. You
must do something for some one else. But the good thing is, it will
benefit you in the long run.
Everything you do is for yourself.

PRIDE : Its the best thing since..the beginning of time!
Yeah, thats right kiddos. Pride is something that can motivate you. To do what, you ask?
Anything you damn well please.
Cavemen would of never once survived if they did not take pride in their actions.
Pride makes you feel stronger.
The effects of pride are psychological, and make you feel like nothing can stop you. This, in turn, benefits your actions.
Think like this; Theres one boxer, who is like 'Man, I'm gonna try to
beat him..But I dunno, he looks pretty tough." The other one, though,
hes insane. "I'm gonna fuck him up! Hes gonna get it, I'm gonna KO him
in under two rounds!"
Who do you think will win?
Your mind affects your body. Its proven, too. People who are depressed
often go into a state of lethargy, along with their bodies. This slows
down many bodily processes, including the immune system, causing people
who are sad to be more prone to disease.
And whats the opposite of depression?
Happiness! What causes happiness?
PRIDE!

Wait, this just in. MAN IS JUST ANOTHER ANIMAL!
Yeah. Crazy? No. True? Yes.
Animals have flesh, blood, and limbs.
Humans have flesh, blood, and limbs.
What do humans have that animals don't?
Sentience. One thing that seperates us.
Dogs are smarter than snails yet snails and dogs are still put in the 'animal' category.
So, I say, humans are animals. Scientifically, we are animals.
And what is more right than science?

If anything, you can kind of called Satanism an..unreligion.

Shh, kiddos. Its aiight.

But, onto topic.
Jared and I, we've been doin' some deep damn thinkin'. Deep thinkin', I be tellin' ye.

Heres how it started.
So I said to J-rad, "What if we're only doing this because it subconsciously makes us feel stronger?"
And he replied, "You know, I've been thinking the same thing lately."
Just like that good ol' guy, me and him think mighty alike.
So then I said, "We should just attack the religion. We know the views
are bullshit. Why include the people? They don't deserve the energy,
nor the time, and we're not benefiting. Even from an effort vs.
benefits perspective, not much is goin' down."
He agreed.
So, we decided that we'll be a nice set of kids and we'll quit with the jesus-lover bashing.
We will, however, DOUBLE our efforts to attack the religion itself.
Strike the heart of the beast, I say!

So, every previous post stands as is. We take nothing back, we give no apologies.
The goal has been altered, and will stand as such : 100 posts in 100 days.

And with that, I'm gone.

Upon writing the aforementioned post, I was unaware of several things.

1. That "Peyton" lived in South Bend/Mishawaka.

2. That she would be hurt.

3. That you would all be bitches about it and overeact.

In light of recent findings, I revoke my inappropriate remarks but keep my main focus.

"She seems to have a sexual relationship with God. Also, she another lemming whose life revolves around an imaginary being who inhabits the sky."

I will give no more detail.

Apologies where they are due.
